Bolton Wanderers are favourites to land Lens striker Aruna Dindane.
The Sun says the Trotters have won the race to sign Dindane.
The striker, who spent the season on loan at Portsmouth, was also wanted by Blackburn, Wolves and Greek champs Panathinaikos.
But the powerful Ivory Coast hitman chose a £2.5million switch to the Reebok. Dindane met Bolton boss Owen Coyle yesterday to tie up the move before the World Cup.
Dindane, 29, scored 10 goals for Pompey in 24 games.
