Bolton Wanderers boss Gary Megson is desperate to hold onto Oman goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi. The Mirror says Al-Habsi, who is away on international duty with Oman, is fancied by Spurs manager Harry Redknapp as competition for the unpredictable Heurelho Gomes.
The 26-year-old is in the final six months of his current contract with Wanderers and can leave for nothing in the summer.
Spurs would pay about £250,000 for him now. However Bolton think Al-Habsi will soon commit to them, despite having to play second fiddle to Jussi Jaaskelainen this season.
