Bolton Wanderers are close to a deal for Real Madrid fullback Marcos Alonso.
The Mirror says Bolton boss Owen Coyle is ready to sign Real Madrid left back Alonso in a £2.2 million deal - and fly him to the club's training camp in America.
Coyle expects the nod to complete the swoop for the Spanish defender today after weeks of haggling over the fee and beating off Portuguese giants Benfica and La Liga rivals Getafe for his signature.
Alonso wants to come to the Premier League and fight for a first-team place after making just one substitute's appearance for Real. He does not see a way into Jose Mourinho's side in the near future.
