Bolton boss Coyle: Muamba fine for Wigan clash

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Fabrice Muamba is ready for this clash with Wigan Athletic.

Bolton boss Owen Coyle insists he has no worries about his midfielder being targeted by Wigan fans for his horror challenge on James McCarthy on his last visit to the DW Stadium in October.

He said: "People can say what they want. But Fabrice Muamba is a terrific player.

"If he plays, he's big enough and mentally strong enough to deal with what comes his way."

Muamba looks sure to be restored to the Bolton team in what Coyle admits will be a makeshift line-up.

He added: "There will be probably six changes from our win over Everton."
