Bojan in doubt as Stoke get set to face Man Utd

Stoke City are likely to face Manchester United on New Year's Day without new hero Bojan Krkic.

The 24-year old Spanish forward has been in sparkling form for the Potters in recent times but sustained a hamstring injury in the 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on Sunday meaning he may be forced out of Thursday's visit of third-placed United.

"He is a major doubt for the game," Potters boss Mark Hughes said.

"It's a real disappointment because he's been doing so well for us but we've got good players waiting to come in and have an impact."

Since arriving at Stoke from Barcelona in the summer, Bojan has scored three goals and provided one assists in 14 appearances for the Staffordshire club.
