Bojan desperate to make Stoke opener against Liverpool

Bojan Krkic is working hard in order to earn a place in the Stoke City squad for their Premier League opener against Liverpool this weekend.

The Spanish forward has made a quicker than anticipated return from a serious knee ligament injury which he suffered last season, featuring for the Potters during the summer friendlies.

It still remains to be seen whether Bojan has made a return to full fitness but the former Barcelona man has insisted that he is toiling in order to convince manager Mark Hughes to select him for the Potters' opening game against the Reds at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday.

Bojan said: "I feel really good, and every day I feel more power and confidence. I am coming back at the right time. I worked really hard for that and I'm in a good point in my recovery.

"This week I'm working hard every so I can be involved in the first game feeling 100 per cent.
