Manchester United will need to again use a makeshift defence when they tackle Wolfsburg in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Injuries to Wes Brown, Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand, John O'Shea and Jonny Evans were made worse with the news that Nemanja Vidic did not make the trip to Germany because of a flu.
It leaves Sir Alex Ferguson with a headache on who to play in the back four although the quarter he used against West Ham on the weekend seemed to work fine.
Ferguson had Ryan Giggs on the left, Michael Carrick and Patrice Evra in the centre and Darren Fletcher on the right and they managed to keep the Hammers goalless but it remains to be seen which way he will go in a European fixture.
