Blanc insists Juventus not in crisis

Jean-Claude Blanc insists Juventus are not in crisis after a disappointing campaign.

The Bianconeri have undergone a revolution this week with Andrea Agnelli taking over as President, Beppe Marotta the new director general and Luigi Del Neri on the bench.

"We will work hard for the many challenges that await us," said Blanc, who is now general manager.

"I thank the staff that have left and especially Alberto Zaccheroni, whose work will end after the tour of America."

The team needs to be rebuilt, but finances are tight after a seventh-placed finish qualifies them only for the Europa League preliminary round.

"Without the Champions League we have projected a loss of £25m. However, in four years we climbed back to the top, are the club with the greatest income in Italy - eighth in the world - are without debts and floated on the stock exchange.

"This club had far worse problems four years ago than having to miss out on the Champions League," continued Blanc referring to the Calciopoli scandal and demotion to Serie B.

"We will save money elsewhere and find supplementary resources. We already have a basic agreement for the away strip and are close to another deal for the national and international games. We are confident."
