Derby County striker Luke Varney is set to sign with Blackpool.

Skysports.com says Blackpool have agreed a loan deal for Varney.

Varney has dropped out of favour at Derby and Rams boss Nigel Clough is willing to let him move on.

Queens Park Rangers were thought to be leading the chase for Varney, but Blackpool have stolen in to lure the former Crewe man to the Premier League new boys.
