Connor Wickham has praised his England U21 teammate Tom Ince for his recent rise to prominence.
The 20-year old winger has become a key player with Championship club Blackpool over the past 10 or so months and Sunderland striker Wickham, who netted the only goal as his side beat Norway 1-0, is delighted to see him now a part of the Young Lions setup.
"I think everyone knew what he was about," he told FATV following Ince's first two England matches against Azerbaijan and Norway.
"If you give him the ball he'll run and take people on, and that's what he did.
"Obviously he did well last season and he's started off well again this season.
"All the boys that have come in have gelled pretty well and any of the boys are capable of stepping into the team and doing a job, as they have shown."
