Blackpool's Ferguson heaps praise on efforts of ex-Rangers mate McCulloch

Blackpool midfielder Barry Ferguson has praised former Rangers teammate Lee McCulloch for doing his best to try and save the club.

The ex-Gers man feels sadly for what the great club is currently going through but feels the efforts of McCulloch, who has offered to play for free, suggests that things could still turn for the Glasgow giants.

"What Lee has offered to do sums up what Rangers means to so many people. I know the big guy well and how much it means to him to play for Rangers," the former Rangers, Blackburn Rovers, Birmingham City and Scotland man said.

"I was at the club when he finally fulfilled a lifelong dream to sign and he was ecstatic. Someone like him knows this is about the bigger picture.

"It is about doing everything and anything you possibly can to help keep the club alive.

"I've a lot of friends in that dressing room and this is worse than your worst nightmare."
