Blackpool are making a £1 million move for Swansea City fullback Angel Rangel.
The Mirror says the Seasiders have inquired about highly-rated Rangel who is in the last year of his contract and would love a crack at the Premier League.
The Swans want £750,000 down plus extras on appearances and Holloway is trying to persuade his money men to invest.
Holloway's hopes of bringing back right back Seamus Coleman from Everton are fading as the Irishman has done well for David Moyes's men in pre-season games and could kept at Goodison.
Meanwhile, Holloway's £1 million move for Derby County's Rob Hulse is still on.
The Rams have been contacted by a middle man on the manager's behalf and are now waiting on an official bid from the Premier League new boys.
