Blackpool defender Evatt urged to follow lead of Man Utd legend Bruce

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway wants Ian Evatt to study videos of former Manchester United captain Steve Bruce in his heyday.

Holloway is delighted at how well the centre-half has adapted to the Premier League.

Blackpool boss Holloway told the Blackpool Gazette: "The way Evatt is playing is fantastic.

"He just has to believe in himself even more than he ever dreamed he could, because I can't see too much in his game that is going to stop him playing at this level.

"He may not be as quick as some players, but if he can concentrate on winning his headers, getting the ball and passing, that will be great for me.

"Someone like Steve Bruce wasn't the biggest or the quickest, but he was magnificent. So come on Ian, keep believing in yourself and keep being part of this lot."
