Blackpool boss Barry Ferguson is hoping for more from Everton striker Apostolos Vellios.

But he feels Vellios will prove to be a shrewd acquisition in time.

Ferguson said in the Blackpool Gazette: "He did alright (against Queens Park Rangers) but he's not played a lot of football. It was a difficult ask to put him in on Saturday.

"He had only trained with the boys once, but I'm sure he'll do well for us."
