Blackpool boss Clark: Birmingham sacking hurt

Blackpool manager Lee Clark says being sacked by today's opponents Birmingham City "hurt".

The 42-year-old's tenure at St Andrew's ended in October after Blues were beaten at home by Bolton Wanderers.

"It hurt when I lost my job because I loved being there," Clark said. "But I have moved on, my career has moved on. I am enjoying being at Blackpool.

"It will be a tough game, like Bolton they are one of the form teams in the division so we are expecting a very tough game - but I think they will be as well.

"There is no extra significance with it being Birmingham, I can't be selfish enough to deal in that way, we are in too much of a predicament to be worrying about what's good for Lee Clark.

"It's what's important for Blackpool and that's continuing the upward curve in our performances and gaining points, this time it will hopefully be three."
