Blackburn's Bentley demands Tottenham move

David Bentley has withdrawn from Blackburn Rovers' preseason camp in Germany.

The Mirror says the transfer-seeking England star is waiting for Rovers to agree a fee with Tottenham, who have seen their initial £16.2million offer rejected.

Bentley dropped out of last night's 3-1 friendly loss to Hoffenheim with a calf injury, the second time he has missed a game after not playing in Paul Ince's debut match at Macclesfield.

The unsettled winger is at loggerheads with the club, who have taken a hard-line decision to stick by their £17m valuation.

Rovers want the "right" money - including £3.5m-rated Paul Robinson - and expect Spurs supremo Daniel Levy to reach the figure soon.
