Blackburn Rovers are closing in on the permanent signing of Middlesbrough goalkeeper Jason Steele.
The 24-year old arrived at Ewood Park on an initial season-long loan in the summer but now Rovers are planning to secure him on a less temporary arrangement.
Steele, who has made 15 appearances for the Lancashire club this season, has reportedly agreed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Rovers keen to tie up the contract before their transfer embargo kicks in on January 1.
