Reports in Spain have claimed that Blackburn have lined up the 27 year old as a possible replacement for David Bentley on the right wing.

"The future of Joaquin is to be at Valencia as he is a Valencia player and has a contract with the club," Espejo told Las Provincias.

"But if an offer arrives that the club is interested in, Joaquin will have to listen, and also vice-versa.

"However, he came to Valencia with a wage ceiling and a big dream, which continues, and hopefully he still has the fans' affection.

"People have been unjust with Joaquin. He is not only interested in money because if he was he would now be in England or Italy."
