Blackburn Rovers midfielder Brett Emerton is getting prepared for a big clash with Tottenham star Gareth Bale on Wednesday night. Emerton and his Australia teammates take on Bale and his Wales comrades at Cardiff City Stadium tomorrow and the Rovers right-sided wideman knows it will be a tough task to try and quell the reigning Premier League Player of the Year.
"He (Bale) is a fantastic player and one of the best natural wide men in the game at the moment," Emerton said.
"He has had a fantastic 12 months so he is going to be tough opposition for us. If he is anywhere near his best, he is one we are going to have to look after.
"The Welsh team is full of talented players and I think their ranking does not do them justice and they have probably underachieved."
But Emerton's Socceroos teammate Luke Wilkshire said he is not getting drawn into looking at names on the opposition teamsheet.
"You don't go losing sleep over who you are coming up against," the Dynamo Moscow right-back told AAP.
