Blackburn deny Jensen decision already made

Blackburn Rovers have played down reports of the imminent appointment of John Jensen as new assistant manager.

The Guardian says Rovers have held talks with Jensen with a view to appointing him as Steve Kean's No2.

The club have denied reports that Jensen's arrival in Lancashire is imminent, saying that the former Denmark international and Arsenal midfielder is one of a number of candidates under consideration.<-> If Jensen is awarded the job, it would further illustrate a strong link between Blackburn's Indian owners and the SEM agency. Jensen, who has worked as an assistant to Michael Laudrup at Brondby and Getafe, is managed by that company.
