Blackburn Rovers boss Jon Dahl Tomasson insists they go to Carabao Cup opponents Chelsea as underdogs.

Rovers face Chelsea in the fourth round in London with Tomasson insisting the Premier League giants are overwhelming favourites for the tie.

"They can make three great teams with great players," he told RoversTV when previewing the contest.

“They lost to Brentford at the weekend and they could easily have won it. We shouldn't forget that the Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world and you need to be on it.

“Chelsea are a good team. Looking at the quality, they have top-class quality. If you compare them to Leicester and West Ham from last season, this one will be even greater.

“You always want to play against the best teams in the world at the best venues in Europe. I enjoy it and I know Chelsea could probably put three good teams out there.

“Football is a lot of things and maybe they'll be less motivated, the players they put out there, whilst we can do all the right things to make it a tough day at the office for Chelsea," Tomasson added.

“To have a good chance of winning, it's about doing the right things on the ball and off the ball. We need to be brave on the ball and defend with discipline, find that mix of both things.

“At the same time, we shouldn't forget to enjoy it."
