Blackburn boss Hughes won't consider Samba sale

Blackburn boss Mark Hughes has warned any interested clubs Christopher Samba is not for sale.

Samba has been a revelation at Ewood Park since arriving from Hertha Berlin last January.

The 23-year-old has established himself as a key member of Hughes' side since his arrival and his performances are believed to caught the attention of a host of top clubs. "A lot of my players are targets for the so-called top clubs," Hughes told the News of the World .

"We like to think we are not a bad club either.

"Chris has got another few years left on his deal so there are no worries there.

"It's all about where players are at certain stages of their career. We can provide a lot to players here.

"It's a good place to work and ply your trade and players know that and want to come here and enjoy the work they get.

"Every summer I have to knock back bids from clubs interested in my players because they're good players.

"That will always be the situation - but that doesn't faze us."
