Blackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes is eyeing Bolton Wanderers striker Nicolas Anelka.
The People says Hughes has told his board that Anelka is his big wish for the next transfer window and top-six chasers Rovers think they have a chance of winning the race.
Bolton will sell at the right price in the window, but there have been no firm offers despite interest from Chelsea, Manchester City and possibly Manchester United.
However, Sparky thinks Rovers could get their man as all of the bigger guns are also looking elsewhere and shying away from making a bid.
Anelka could be talked into swapping a relegation campaign for a chance to make an impact at the business end of the table - and he would not have to leave his north west home.
