Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer is furious with Rotherham United counterpart Steve Evans over claims about Jordan Rhodes' wages.
Bowyer is furious that Evans discussed Rhodes's pay packet before the two teams met at the New York Stadium last night.
Evans had said: "Rhodes is a goal machine. But if you're probably worth 15 to 20 million quid and you earn 50 grand a week then you should be a goal machine in the Championship."
Bowyer, who has worked hard to keep the Scotland international at Ewood Park, hit out at Evans after Rovers's 2-0 defeat.
"He said how much Jordan is supposedly on a week and it's appalling for any manager to come like that," said Bowyer. "It's wrong.
"Jordan's not on what he said he's on - that's not true."
