Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce was delighted with Junior Hoilett's performance in victory over Newcastle United this week.
The 20-year-old made his first Premier League start of the season at St. James' Park on Wednesday evening, impressive with an all action display.
"We've seen a fantastic performance from Junior Hoilett," enthused Allardyce to the Rovers website.
"We've been waiting for this ability to shine and from the very first minute he was causing the Newcastle defence lots and lots of problems.
"At one stage he ran from almost the edge of our box to the end of their box and played a ball to Chimbonda and we were three on two in the area but we didn't find the right pass.
"So it is very pleasing to see another young man produce a performance like that. It gives us the encouragement to know what a player he can be with that ability.
"He has shown that he can step in and make the team as good if not better.
"I hope it gives him the encouragement to continue."
