Real Betis star Achille Emana is a target for Blackburn Rovers.

The Mirror says this week Rovers boss Sam Allardyce has twice sent his chief scout to watch the powerful 26- year-old, and contact has been made with the Cameroon ace's agents. The £7m-rated Emana has been at Betis for one season after learning his trade at Toulouse.

Tottenham were also in the frame, but Rovers are closest to a deal after watching Emana score twice on Sunday against Sporting Gijon and then dazzle against Valencia.
