AS Roma will turn their attention to signing Birkir Bjarnason if they miss out on Georginio Wijnaldum, according to reports.
The Giallorossi are looking to sign a new midfielder this summer after losing the services of Miralem Pjanic to Juventus and it has widely been reported that the Italian giants have targeted Newcastle United star Wijnaldum to replace the Bosnian superstar.
However, Newcastle are demanding around £25million for Dutchman Wijnaldum and as a result, Roma are said to be planning a contingency.
Now according to reports from Leggo, claims have been made that Luciano Spalletti's side have identified 28-year-old Basel midfielder Bjarnason who starred for Iceland at Euro2016.
It is believed that Bjarnason could be available for a much more affordable £10m.
