Birmingham told to up bid for Norwich striker Vaughan

Birmingham City have failed with a bid for Norwich City striker James Vaughan.

The Mirror says Norwich have told Birmingham to double their initial offer for striker Vaughan.

Blues want to sign the Canaries' Birmingham-born hitman to help their bid to win promotion back to the Premier League.

They have offered around £500,000 but Norwich boss Chris Hughton, looking to fund a new striker, wants at least double that from his former employers.
