Birmingham City teen Nathan Redmond admits he sees Chelsea striker Danny Sturridge as a role model.

The ambitious teenager has already signed up with a leading agent and clearly wants to get to the top.

Redmond said: "I rate Daniel Sturridge, since he is from Birmingham and he has gone to Man City, Bolton and is now a regular at Chelsea.

"That is something to be admired, because he is a Birmingham boy playing elsewhere.

"Chelsea are full of world class players and it will be a great experience at my age to play there.

"But I am enjoying the whole experience this season. The gaffer has given me a chance even though we are so high in the table.

"We have played a lot of games and since I have proved I can handle it at this standard he is going to keep giving me chances."
