Birmingham City want £5 million for goalkeeper Ben Foster.
The Mirror says Premier League QPR have had a £3.5m bid for shot-stopper Foster rejected by the Championship side, while Blues' Midlands neighbours West Bromwich Albion want to sign him after he impressed on a season-long loan to them in the campaign which just ended.
City agreed to let West Brom to borrow the 29-year-old partly to get his £27,000-a-week wages off the pay-roll and partly to bring in cash in the form of a loan fee.
Now, Foster is keen to become an Albion player, but their chairman Jeremy Peace is reluctant to meet the asking price.
