Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is moving for Portsmouth midfielder Sean Davis.

The Sun says Brum boss Big Eck has been promised a large chunk of the £5million-plus the club will get from selling midfielder Fabrice Muamba to Bolton.

And McLeish is ready to spend around £1m on another move for Davis, 28, who has been told he can quit Pompey.

Davis could not command a regular place for the FA Cup winners last season and McLeish went close to landing him but ran out of time in the transfer window.
