Birmingham re-open talks for Rangers Boyd

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has admitted talks have re-commenced with Rangers over striker Kris Boyd moving into the Championship. "I'm aware that they have talked to Karren (Brady) again so it's not dead until it's dead, if you know what I mean," said McLeish in the Birmingham Mail.

"But there are plans to do something else, so we will have to wait and see what happens."

Despite the fact personal terms could not be agreed, MD Karren Brady claimed that the offer put on the table from Blues was not derisory.

Brady said: "There's not another club in the Championship, even some in the Premier League, who could offer what we have.

"It's a good deal more than he's paid at Rangers, with big benefits too if we're promoted."
