Birmingham City and Fulham are chasing Ivory Coast midfielder Cheik Tiote.
Both outfits are keen on the £4million-rated star, who has impressed at the World Cup despite his country's struggles so far.
Bosses Roy Hodgson and Alex McLeish were alerted to Tiote, 24, when FC Twente won the Dutch title this year.
