Birmingham City managing director Karren Brady has backed the Premiership's plans of introducing an 'international round' to their season.
Brady reckons adding a foreign fixture to the season could net each club £5million.
Brady said: "I think this will enhance the Premier League and give it a different dimension.
"It's something the Premier League have been thinking about for the last couple of years and it's an obvious progression.
"There is a growth potential with international rights and this would probably attract extra sponsorship and television deals. Just imagine being able to play Manchester United in Los Angeles in front of 60,000 fans and a worldwide audience of millions.
"Of course, it would be unfortunate to play United three times in one season but it is just one extra game.
"It's not a done deal yet but if it goes ahead it will be a six to 10-year plan.
"The Premier League is huge all around the world already so it is a logical step to have the clubs playing all around the world."
Birmingham co-owner David Sullivan added: "I could see some teams travelling halfway across the world backed by large numbers of fans.
"I am nervous about the manner in which the games are going to be decided but the change itself is exciting."
