Birmingham City boss Gary Rowett denies growing up an Aston Villa supporter.
Rowett was born in Bromsgrove, which has helped fuel the suggestion. But he grew up on the Isle of Wight.
He told the Birmingham Mail: "I have got pictures of me as a kid in a Leeds United strip, a Villa strip, in a Wolves strip - any kit you can imagine.
"I'm pretty sure there's probably a Birmingham one in there somewhere as well.
"That was it. You never had a team down there, on the Isle of Wight.
"You would go and watch Southampton and Portsmouth games.
"I just remember seeing the games on one weekend, it was around '81 when obviously Villa had a decent team, and I think they won 6-1.
"I remember saying 'I might support them'. I followed some of their games for couple of years but after that I can't really remember looking at a specific team's results."
