Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish has revealed how he uses Manchester United's 1999 Champions League triumph as inspiration.

McLeish uses his favourite football compilation for inspiration.

McLeish said: "A friend of mine made it, and it's called The last three minutes'.

"On it, the head of UEFA, Lennart Johansson says he left his seat to make the presentations at Manchester United's Champions League final against Bayern Munich in 1999 a just before the game ended.

"He missed United's goals and couldn't work out why the winners were crying and the losers celebrating.

"The film highlighted how United never gave up and turned the game round - I'm going to use it here at Birmingham."
