Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is weighing up a move for Everton attacker James McFadden.
The 24-year-old Glaswegian has struggled to nail down a regular first-team place at Goodison Park ever since joining from Motherwell in 2003.
McFadden cost the Toffees £1.25million when he moved to Merseyside, so McLeish is likely to open with a bid of around £3million in January's window of opportunity.
He is not the only admirer of McFadden's talents, though, with Old Firm giants Celtic and Rangers also monitoring his situation.
