Birmingham announce Tanzania tour plans
Birmingham City have confirmed they plan to tour Tanzania in the summer.
Although exact dates and details are yet to be confirmed the four-day trip is expected to include a game against one of the Tanzanian top flight sides Simba and Yanga, or possibly both, in the National Stadium in Dar-es-Salaam.
First team coach Andy Watson and chief medical officer Ian McGuinness are currently in the country inspecting facilities.
Watson told bcfc.com: "The people of Tanzania that we have met have been very hospitable and kind and from what we've seen of the country so far it looks an amazing place.
"We have been made aware of just how much the Tanzanian people love their football - especially the Barclays Premier League - and when everything is fully in place we look forward to coming back in July and playing."
