Diniyar Bilyaletdinov fears Everton may have blown their chance of European qualification.
The 2-2 draw with West Ham United left the Toffees in eighth - five points behind sixth-placed Liverpool and four adrift of Villa, who have a game in hand.
"It is the second game when we have collected only one point and that is not enough to come top five," said the 25-year-old.
"We need five more wins and maybe we will still have a chance.
"Villa is doubly important. We need to win. We need to play at our top level, and I think we will be fine.
"We need to believe that and I think we can do it because we have got such good players. We now need some days for resting and sitting at home watching TV, then we can start anew preparing for the Aston Villa game.
"We need to think and believe about European football. 'I don't even want to think about not making it. I am sure we can do it."
