Croatian coach Slaven Bilic says Tottenham's new midfielder Luka Modric is capable of matching the success of AC Milan star Kaka.

"They are of the same slight build and both can unlock a defence with a pass," said Bilic. "Only Kaka is better than Modric. He's unstoppable, hard even to foul.

"Tottenham is perfect for Luka, better than, for example, Chelsea, who could have bought him, (Lionel) Messi and Robinho and then Luka could have ended up on the bench."

Tottenham boss Juande Ramos admits: "We signed this player before the Euros because we knew his price could rise, and we expect a lot from him."
