US vice-president Joe Biden will help kickoff Philadelphia Union's first home game of their MLS introduction against DC United.
Biden will be joined by Philadelphia and American soccer legend Walter Bahr, who is most famous for his game-winning assist in the United States' victory over England in the 1950 World Cup.
Born in Scranton, Pa., Biden was first elected to the United States Senate in 1972 at the age of 29, becoming the sixth-youngest Senator in U.S. history. He served the state of Delaware for 36 years before joining now-President Barack Obama on the Democratic ticket for the 2008 Presidential election.
