Marcelo Bielsa is set to be confirmed as new Athletic Bilbao coach after last week's elections.
The Basque side announced on Friday that Jose Urrutia won 54.36 per cent of the vote in Tuesday's election to oust the incumbent, Fernando Garcia Macua.
Urrutia had announced days earlier that an agreement had been reached for Bielsa to be handed the reins of the first team if he won the election.
The former Argentina and Chile coach is due to start his new job on Monday.
The 55-year-old Argentine will replace Joaquin Caparros, who was Macua's choice to remain in charge.
