Besiktas president announces Tottenham target Ridvan Yilmaz can be sold

Besiktas fullback Ridvan Yilmaz is being linked with Tottenham.

Besiktas president Ahmet Nur Cebi says he will accept an £8.5 million bid from Spurs should it come in for attacking full-back Yilmaz.

The 20-year-old has asked his current team not to stand in the way of his proposed switch to Spurs, and the president has now confirmed to Toro IT that he will honour that request.

“Yes it's true, an official offer has arrived for Ridvan," Cdbi said. “But we have no intention of accepting it.

“The offer must reach €10m. If someone pays €10m, I will sell Ridvan to Europe.

“The important thing is to sell Ridvan and then be able to replace him with a new (player)."

Tottenham boss Antonio Conte has been vocal about his need for full-backs this summer - a vital component in how he sets his team up with Sergio Reguilon likely to leave in the summer.
