Ryan Bertrand highlighted the spirit shown by Southampton for their 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
The draw, two days after claiming a Boxing Day success at Chelsea, takes Saints another step clear of the drop zone, and means Ralph Hasenhüttl's side have picked up seven points from their previous three Premier League clashes.
"It's important that we start picking up points at home," said Bertrand. "Our away form has been great, but we're all desperate to get our home form right.
"Today we showed every sign of doing that. We controlled the game; the fans were patient with us as well.
"Now we're very focussed, and there's belief back in the team. We dictated the game from minute one. On another day we'd have had the win, if it wasn't for their goalkeeper.
"It's just about getting points on the board now, we want to keep playing game after game.
"When you've got someone like Ingsy [Danny Ings] up top you've always got a chance. Our goal came from the fact we forced them into errors, we capitalised on that and he's always there ready to pounce.
"We know what the demand is and we all buy into that."
