Manchester City winger Bernardo Silva contemplated a move away from Europe this summer.
The Portuguese has long been linked with an exit from the English and European champions.
However, Silva was previously linked to Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, but recently admitted that he weighed up a move to Saudi Arabia as well.
Bernardo said: “It would be a lie to say I didn't think about it.
“But I want to play in the Champions League semi-finals, score against Real Madrid, win the Champions League, I don't want to give up on that."
He added: “I want to return to Benfica. If the club wants me at the time, obviously things will happen."
