Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is a target for AC Milan. Corriere dello Sport says Milan patron Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian PM, is ready to spend big in the summer to rebuild his club's ageing squad.

Vidic tops their defensive shopping list, with Berlusconi and Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani in agreement that a new-look rearguard of the Serb and January signing Thiago Silva is the right way to go next season.

Everything will depend, however, on Milan qualifying for next season's Champions League.
