Berahino delighted to win West Brom Player of Year

West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino has won the club's Player of the Year.

The 21-year-old striker, who scored 14 Premier League goals and hit 20 in total last season, won a landslide vote amongst his peers.

Berahino accepted this latest award with a good deal of gratitude.

"Firstly I want to thank God for making this possible for me," he said before also accepting the Top Goalscorer trophy.

"I want to thank everyone at the club who has also made it possible," he said.

"I'm so happy to win the Top Goalscorer Award this season.

"And having this special trophy in my right hand from all the players who have voted for me and always been there for me when I had tough times, and also when I was having good times, I want to really thank all my team-mates for voting for me as Player of the Season.

"This season has been so great, I've had ups and downs, I've enjoyed myself and I've learned a lot as well.

"I just want to also thank everyone who has been in the background doing their work for me and being there for me.

"Thank you everyone and thanks for your support."
