Real Madrid are ready to open new contract talks with Karim Benzema.
Punto Pelota says Real chief Jose Angel Sanchez met with Benzema last month to sound him out about a new deal.
The France international striker made it clear to Sanchez that he wants to stay in Madrid and would welcome a new agreement.
It's understood that before the New Year, Benzema will ink new terms with Real.
