Benteke influence can keep us up - Aston Villa's Grealish

Aston Villa winger Jack Grealish hopes that teammate Christian Benteke's influence can keep the West Midlands club in the Premier League.

The Belgian's hat-trick against QPR in the 3-3 draw on Tuesday ensured Villa still have a three-point cushion above the relegation zone ahead of the away trip to manager Tim Sherwood's former club Tottenham on Saturday.

"We know what Christian is capable of, we see it every day in training," said Grealish.

"When you have Christian in the team who can score goals in every game we can be 100 per cent positive we will stay up. I'm that sure."

Grealish was handed his first senior start in the Villa Park deadlock which saw the home team net a late equaliser through a sublime Benteke free-kick.
