Wigan Athletic striker Marcus Bent wants to sign permanently from Charlton Athletic.

Bent told the Wigan Evening Post: "I have come to Wigan to play in the Premier League, try to score goals, and do well for the club and myself. It's up to Charlton and Wigan to sort out a deal. I would be happy to stay - the people on and off the pitch have been very good to me."
